What to Expect
So you're ready to preserve those memories with an Arizona Maternity, Newborn and Milestone Photographer...Wondering where to go from here?
Allow me to help..
Clicking the "book now" button will take you right to our questionnaire. Here you will choose a newborn, maternity or specific milestone session. Once this is completed, you will be taken to our scheduler to begin the booking process. After you have selected your desired date and time, You will receive an email with your contract, and one with your invoice. In order to fully book and reserve your photography session date, you must return the signed contract and invoice payment. Planning to go all out for your photography session? Payment plans are available, so please reach out if you prefer to make payments on your balance due. If you would like to discuss your session further, please let us know along with how you prefer to be contacted.

We offer discounted packages on additional images, only when purchased at the time of your booking. If you think you may want to purchase additional images, this is a great time to do so at a tremendous savings. For info on our regular image and print pricing

We know not everyone is on the same budget when it comes to affording their photography session, which is why we opt to offer a lower price session with fewer images for those on a budget, and an available add-on with all included images for those who want to go big!

2-3 days prior to your photo session, you will receive a reminder email with a few extra tips for your session. Feel free to reach out any time with any questions.

You will receive a check-in message on the morning of our session. If you are scheduled for a desert maternity session, I will be sending a pinned location so we can find each other. Be sure to respond, so we both are on the same page.
​
If you are opting to use one of the photos by Brandy Layne maternity gowns, I will have a selection for you to choose from, and a changing room on site. Be sure to arrive on time for your session to be sure you have time to change.
​
During your outdoor session, photographer will position and pose your group (or you), and then will offer prompts to promote some natural movement. Feel free to be yourselves and have fun, often times the best images come from those moments in between!

If you are scheduled for a maternity, newborn or milestone session in our studio, just know we have converted (or are in the process of) our garage into a small studio space, and are constantly working to improve it or change it, and are having so much fun with it. We hope you will not judge a garage by its cover, and instead on the images you receive :) We may not schedule mid-day sessions in hotter months, while we navigate and learn just how to keep the space cool.

If you are scheduled for a milestone session, it is sometimes better to opt for neutral outfits, unless we have discussed prop setup in advance. You can also choose to send a picture of your selected outfit in advance, so we can be sure to choose a coordinating setup for your session.

What to expect when we meet? Here's something about me - You will often find me barefoot or in flip flops, with stretch pants and a messy bun. I may or may not have a dirt on my shirt* - why? Because I spend much time crawling on the ground, kneeling on the ground, or climbing on or behind things in order to get the shot I want! And this is Arizona, and it's pretty much hot and dusty all the time! (*not for newborn sessions, of course)

Session Time - Let's have fun with it!! My assistant, if she's there, Delayni, will be helping to keep your dress straight, offering posing tips, and even chasing your new crawler around so we get the best shots. She works very hard!
​
Remember that session times are approximate. We will shoot while the light is working for us until we have the desired amount of images. Sessions may cut short or run long.
​
Following our photo session, you will get an email with information on what to expect next, and on how you will receive your images. Your proofing gallery will come to you completely unedited. Keep this in mind when selecting your images. Don't pay attention to background objects that may need to be removed etc, as this will all happen during the editing process. Instead, pay attention to expressions, sweet moments and poses that you will love once edited.
Often times, your gallery will be quite large, as most clients request to cull their own images and would like to see all shots taken prior to deciding. It may appear you have some duplicate images, however, there will often be small discrepancies in facial expression or position that clients notice, so they are given the freedom to choose which they like better. We hope you understand we made this decision based on the most requests from clients.

If you would like to purchase additional images after your package images, you are able to add them to your cart from your online viewing/proof gallery. Any other issues, questions or requests about your gallery should be directed to the photographer.
